Car boot sale bargains

I nearly didn't go this morning after only four hours sleep. I'm glad I did :)

I was looking at this book...

...when the lady on the stall asked me if I stitched and asked me if I'd take a box of stitching stuff for a quid...

Upon examination at home I found a huge pile of Anchor, a big pile of DMC and the biggest surprise some Caron threads :D

Mum and I also went halves on a big box of classic books...

I passed!

Quick update on how things are going.

Exam result for AAT Foundation came by email last night and snail mail this morning. I PASSED! :D :D

Not a huge surprise lol The external exam was way easier than the internal skills tests I have been doing throughout the course and I passed all those, so the exam was not really anything to worry about.

This means that I can now go on to do AAT Intermediate. I have already applied for the course, got funding from the colleges Learner Support Fund for most of the course fee and filled in paperwork with Lone Parent Advisor for funding for the remainder of the course fee, exam fees and travel expenses. This LPA seems much more efficient than the last one who f***ed it up and left me having to fund the course myself.

Driving is going well. I drove to Longleat and Alton Towers last week :)

I've been spending lots of time in the garden. Gardening seems to be my latest obsession. I have to keep reminding myself to pick up some stitching.

I've had to go through the tough decision on turning my back on DDK9's school which is threatened with closure and moving her to a school closer to us. It makes sense but I feel like a traiter.

I've been seeing my fella for a year :D :D

DDK9 has gone to Kefalonia with her Dad for two weeks :( This is day one :(

On the whole, life is very good :D :D :D
